Hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap. Use a bottle brush for the interior if needed.

Do not submerge the bamboo lid. Rinse and wipe it clean, then air dry. Not dishwasher safe.

We looked at ten bottles. Steel bodies were easy — the lids were not. Eight had plastic spouts or plastic threads exactly where mouth goes.

This one passes The Standard. The body-contact components are the stainless steel bottle, the bamboo lid, and the silicone ring that seals the lid against the bottle. The bottle is food-grade #304 stainless. The lid is bamboo with a stainless steel carry loop. None of these are plastic.

ABOUT THE SILICONE

The silicone ring inside the lid seals the bottle when closed. It is food-grade silicone — not plastic; a silicon-oxygen polymer that is stable and inert under normal use. As a lid gasket sealing against the rim, silicone does not significantly degrade or shed microparticles.
