A bamboo travel toothbrush that screws into its own case — handle and case are one piece, no separate pouch to lose. Bamboo is naturally antimicrobial: important when a toothbrush lives wet in luggage. The bristles are nylon-11, made from castor oil — bio-based, but still nylon, still plastic in mouth contact. We stock it as Best Available: boar and horse bristle brushes fully pass The Standard, but not everyone accepts animal bristles. This is the best available if you don't.

Air-dry each piece on a towel between uses. The air hole in the case helps it dry after packing.

Do not soak. Do not run through the dishwasher.

Bristles typically need replacing every three months, or when they start to splay.

The bamboo composts; the used bristle heads go to landfill — nylon doesn't compost.

BEST AVAILABLE

This one is Best Available because the bristles are nylon-11 — bio-based, from castor oil, but still nylon, still plastic. The bamboo handle and case take plastic out of everything except the head, but the head sits in direct mouth contact for two minutes twice a day. That's the exception.

Non-nylon alternatives exist: boar bristle and horse hair pass The Standard fully. If you accept animal-derived bristles, that's the version to reach for. This one is for you if you don't.

For this brush to pass The Standard, plant-based or non-nylon synthetic bristles would need to become widely available and actually match nylon on performance. They don't yet.
