Magnesium Muscle Butter for Tension & Recovery

Sale price$32.00

A magnesium body butter for muscle recovery — anti-inflammatory work, not just the peppermint cooling most muscle rubs use as a stand-in. Frankincense, blue tansy, and three isolated plant compounds naturally found in hops, cloves, and chamomile — all documented for reducing topical inflammation. Shea, mango, and coconut butters carry magnesium chloride from the Zechstein seabed. Subtle herbal aroma, not spa-forward. Absorbs quickly, doesn't sit heavy. 4 oz amber glass jar.

*Certified organic.

The preservative complex (caprylyl glycol, glyceryl caprylate, caprylhydroxamic acid, sodium phytate) is plant-derived. No parabens, no formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.

Contains trace methyl thujate from Thuja species — standard caution during pregnancy.

Massage a small amount into muscles after activity, or into areas of tension (neck, shoulders, lower back, calves) at the end of the day. The butter absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a heavy residue.

Some people feel mild tingling when they first start using topical magnesium; it fades with regular use.

During pregnancy or nursing: the formulation contains trace methyl thujate from Thuja species. Discuss topical essential oil products with your healthcare provider before regular use.

Passes The Standard. The body-contact component is the butter. The formulation is water plus three organic plant butters and oils, magnesium chloride, an emulsifier, vitamin E, a plant-derived preservative complex, and a targeted anti-inflammatory essential oil blend. No synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no phthalates, no formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.

The active oils here are the actual compounds studied for topical inflammation — frankincense (boswellic acids), blue tansy (chamazulene), plus three plant-derived isolates naturally found in hops, cloves, and chamomile. Most muscle-recovery topicals use peppermint or eucalyptus for a cooling sensation and stop there. This one uses the underlying pharmacology.

The trace methyl thujate is worth naming for pregnancy awareness. It's a Thuja constituent distinct from the neurotoxic thujone form, and at cosmetic concentrations is generally considered safe.

The magnesium chloride comes from the Zechstein seabed — a Permian-era salt deposit shielded from surface contamination by its depth, the source many magnesium supplements draw from.
