Whipped Vanilla Tallow Butter for Hydration

Sale price$32

A three-ingredient whipped body butter: grass-fed beef tallow, organic jojoba oil, and organic vanilla. Tallow's fatty acid profile — palmitic, stearic, oleic — closely matches human sebum, which is why it absorbs into skin rather than sitting on top the way pure plant butters sometimes do. Especially effective on very dry or barrier-compromised skin. No preservatives (the formula is anhydrous), no essential oils, no emulsifiers. Warm scent from organic vanilla, not synthetic fragrance. 4 oz glass jar.

If it arrives broken, we replace it.

Grass-fed beef tallow, Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis), Organic Vanilla (Vanilla Planifolia).

That's the complete formula — three ingredients.

Contains beef tallow (animal-derived).

No preservatives. This is an anhydrous formula (no water phase), so microbial preservation isn't needed. Beef tallow is shelf-stable and rancidity-resistant compared to most plant oils.

Warm a small amount between your palms until it softens, then massage into skin. Apply anywhere your skin needs lasting moisture, including the hands, elbows, knees, feet, or other dry areas.

A little goes further than you expect — start with less than you'd use of a standard body lotion.

Best on very dry, mature, or barrier-compromised skin. On oil-prone or acne-prone skin, tallow may feel heavier than a plant butter; test on a small area first.

Store somewhere cool — tallow re-hardens in cold rooms and softens on warm days. That's normal and doesn't affect the formula.

We looked at sixteen creams and balms. Nearly all came in plastic jars or laminate tubes — plastic against the product for every day of its life. We kept the ones in glass, metal and cardboard.

This one passes The Standard. The body-contact component is the butter. The formula is three ingredients: grass-fed beef tallow, organic jojoba oil, and organic vanilla. No preservatives (nothing to preserve — the formula is anhydrous), no synthetic fragrance, no essential oils, no emulsifiers.

The interesting cosmetic chemistry here is tallow itself. Its fatty acid profile — palmitic, stearic, oleic — closely resembles the composition of human sebum, which is why traditional skincare relied on tallow for centuries before the emulsion-based lotion became standard. On very dry or barrier-compromised skin, that biocompatibility often absorbs and settles in a way plant butters don't quite match.

Contains beef tallow — animal-derived, grass-fed.
