Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Vitellaria Paradoxa (Shea) Butter*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Emulsifying Wax NF, Montmorillonite (French Green Clay), Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil*, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate.

About the surfactants: sodium cocoyl isethionate and cocamidopropyl betaine are both synthesized from coconut. They are the cosmetic industry's standard for mild bar shampoos — milder than SLS, but real surfactants that lather and rinse clean. They are not sulfates. We name them openly because the alternative — soap-based shampoo bars — is alkaline and degrades hair over time.

About behentrimonium methosulfate: synthesized from rapeseed oil, used here in trace amounts to add slip and reduce tangles. Same conditioning ingredient as in the Flow conditioner bar.

The preservative pair (gluconolactone + sodium benzoate) is plant- and sugar-derived. No silicone, no SLS, no parabens.

Wet hair and the bar. Rub the bar directly on the scalp two or three times — top, sides, nape. Or work the bar between your hands until you have lather, then apply to wet hair. Massage through and rinse thoroughly. Follow with conditioner.

Between uses: let the bar dry fully on a dish with drainage. A wet bar left in a closed container turns soft and wears out faster.

For travel: fold the dry bar into a beeswax wrap before packing it in a wash bag. The wrap clings to itself, breathes enough that the bar doesn't sweat, and folds flat to come home with you — where a sealed tin or plastic bag would trap moisture and soften the bar. Unwrap and air-dry once you arrive.

One bar replaces roughly two to three bottles of liquid shampoo.

Hard-water note: in very hard water, plant-based shampoos can leave some buildup. An occasional clarifying rinse (apple cider vinegar diluted 1:4 with water) restores feel.

Passes The Standard. The body-contact component is the bar itself. No plastic, no silicone, no sulfates, no synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no phthalates, no formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.

ABOUT THE SYNTHESIZED ACTIVES

This bar contains three ingredients made by synthesis, not by direct extraction: sodium cocoyl isethionate and cocamidopropyl betaine (both from coconut feedstock) for the cleansing, and behentrimonium methosulfate (from rapeseed) for slip. None is plastic; none is a sulfate; none is on our reject list. They are what allow a shampoo bar to lather and rinse clean without behaving like an alkaline soap bar. We name them openly so you can decide for yourself.
