We looked at nine sets of wooden utensils and kitchen textiles. Six utensil sets were finished with synthetic lacquer — plastic, against a hot pan. One towel set was cotton blended with polyester. Two passed.
This one: The body-contact components on every piece are the acacia wood surfaces that meet hot food and oil during cooking. The wood is acacia, hand-polished and one-piece.

This product arrives at our warehouse in plastic protective wrap. We remove the plastic before shipping to you and repackage in kraft paper. The product itself contains no plastic in contact with your food.
