Solid Dish Soap Bar with Scrub Brush Set

Sale price$28

A solid dish soap bar in a tin, with a bamboo-and-sisal scrub brush.

The bar cuts grease without the fragrance cloud of bottled dish soap. Creamy lather lifts food off plates and glass; the sisal bristles handle stuck-on residue on pots and cast iron.

The tin closes for travel or a tidy counter. One bar lasts weeks to months.

We evaluated fourteen laundry and dish soaps. Three passed The Standard. This is one of them.

Dampen the brush. Swirl the brush across the soap bar to load it with suds. Scrub the dish. Rinse.

Between uses: leave the lid off so the bar air-dries; close it for travel or a tidy counter.

Rinse the brush and stand it bristles-up to dry. Replace the brush when the bristles soften.

Passes The Standard.

We looked at nineteen ways to store food. Nine had plastic lids or plastic seals resting directly on the food. Four were "glass" sets with acrylic lids. Cling film is polyethylene, and it touches the food by design. Six passed.
This one: The body-contact components are the soap bar, the metal tin you hold while using it, and the bamboo handle of the brush. None are plastic.

The tin is metal with no plastic interior liner. The brush handle is bamboo; the bristles are sisal — a plant fiber from the agave family, not nylon.

Arrives at our warehouse plastic-free.
